From Deacon Ron Reno:
God willing we will have an Advent 2 service this weekend. We made the right move cancelling last weekend because of the bad weather. The safety of our people is a priority and ice is not a friend unless it is in a cold drink. Father and Anneliese will not be here this week after all and are planning to be here for Advent 4. I know they want to be with us.
Almighty God, give us grace that we may cast away the works of darkness, and put upon us the armour of light, now in the time of this mortal life, in which thy Son Jesus Christ came to visit us in great humility; that in the last day when he shall come again in his glorious majesty to judge both the quick and the dead, we may rise to the life immortal, through him who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, now and ever. Amen.
Father’s homily is a history lesson. We do not chase fads and are true to Church tradition and theology. God bless, Deacon
